Pizza-Flavored Turkey Tacos


  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 t. basil
  • 4 oz. mushroom, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 T. flour
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. oregano
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1-8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 12 taco shells


  1. Brown and drain turkey
  2. Stir in onion, mushroom, garlic and cook until tender.
  3. Sprinkle with flour, salt, basil, oregano and pepper.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and water and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, about 15 minutes.
  6. Spoon mixture into shells and serve with your favorite taco toppings.
